 "Cross Roads Auto Cross". 

SUNDAY

April 26th 2009

On Sunday April 26th, 2009  YOU  are invited to come to Stroud, Oklahoma at the junction of RT. 66 and Hwy 99  and enjoy a day of SCCA Auto Cross & JCNA (Jaguar Club North America) slalom Racing.                                                       

There will be two tracks set up, and every one can run either one or both. One course is being sponsored by the SCCA , and another course is being sponsored by th JCTI (Jaguar Club of Tulsa).  All of those running the JCTI SLALOM track  receive a national standing, and times will be posted on the official  JCNA  (Jaguar Club North America)  web site. 

The location will be at the junction of RT. 66 and state HWY 99, on the grounds of the former Tananger Mall that was unfortunately destroyed by the OKC tornado. The racing surface is in good condition which should help deliver some really fast running times!!

Both tracks will be open to just about any kind of vehicle that shows up.

COMING IN FROM OUT OF TOWN?

Why not SPEND THE NIGHT and make a week end of it! 

We HAVE been given a special room rate (thank you!) for the racing week end  at the Best Western (our HOST hotel) in Stroud so that if you would like to, you can make your racing week a nice week end away from home.  Best Western at Stroud's special room rate of $60 single, and $65 double, and this room rate is available to ALL participants who inform the front desk (or reservations) that they are part of the “Crossroads of America, Autocross at Stroud” event. This way, (if you would like to) you will be able to enjoy the Wineries of Stroud, and , or the historic sites that this old western town can offer. 

The Best Western (of Stroud) is a great place to stay on the week end (or for Saturday night) so that you can be fresh and race ready for the Sunday morning and afternoon Auto cross. They have a nice brunch that is hardy, reasonable priced, and can help make a "day away from home" even nicer.  

DINING: The Steak House Restaurant, inside the Best Western, has excellent dining.  Their dining room is open until 9:00 pm Saturday, but the real treat is probably the $8 Sunday Buffet which usually includes fried catfish and chicken, some forms of both beef and pork, hot rolls, the obvious salad bar, and of course assorted deserts of cobblers and cakes, etc.  They will be open during our driving event from 11:00 am till sometime in the afternoon.

Note: We hope to have many more "Race Days" at this location and we appreciate your participation. In the future we would like to have racing "Week Ends".
